The match started with Pakistan showing strong form right from the first set.
At one point, Pakistan led by five points, but Qatar mounted a remarkable comeback, overcoming scores of 20-15 and 24-22 to take the first set from Pakistan. However, Qatar could not maintain its form.
In the third set, Pakistan dominated Qatar from the beginning. Unfortunately for Pakistan, in the fourth set, Qatar had no room to come back and win. The final scores in Qatar's victory over Pakistan were 24-26, 19-25, 25-23 and 18-25.
