LAHORE: Pakistan hockey team on Tuesday defeated Bangladesh to register their second victory at the ongoing 2023 Asian Games in Hangzhou, China.
Facing Bangladesh in the second match in the group stage, the Blue Shirts were behind after Bangladesh took advantage of a corner kick to take an early lead in the 19th minute. The ongoing 2023 Asian Games features 12 hockey teams divided into two groups of six. Pakistan, along with India, Japan, Bangladesh, Singapore and Uzbekistan were placed in Group A.
Group B includes South Korea, Malaysia, China, Oman, Thailand and Indonesia.
