India crush Sri Lanka to secure 8th Asia Cup title | Bat N Ball


India crushed Sri Lanka by 10 wickets in the Asia Cup 2023 final on Sunday, securing their eighth title in the tournament.


Mohammad Siraj starred for India with the ball, taking six wickets for just 21 runs as Sri Lanka were bowled out for 50 in just 15.2 overs. This is the lowest total in the history of the Asia Cup.


Only two Sri Lankan batters managed to get into double figures, with Dushan Hemantha scoring an unbeaten 13 and Kusal Mendis adding another 17 runs.


In response, India's openers Ishan Kishan and Shubman Gill chased down the target in just 6.1 overs, both scoring unbeaten runs.


Siraj was named Man of the Match for his impressive bowling performance in the final match, while Kuldeep Yadav was awarded Player of the Tournament for his nine wickets in the tournament of Asia cup.


This is India's first major title since winning the  Asia Cup  back in 2018. It is also a good sign for India ahead of the upcoming ODI World Cup, where India are among the favorites teams to win which will be held next month October.
