🇵🇰 Pakistan Crush South Africa by 93 Runs in Lahore Test — Noman Ali Spins Magic

Lahore, October 16 (Bat N Ball) — Pakistan registered a thrilling 93-run victory over South Africa in the first Test match at Gaddafi Stadium, Lahore, thanks to a masterful display of spin bowling from left-arm spinner Noman Ali, who tore through the visitors’ batting lineup.

🏏 Noman Ali’s Ten-Wicket Masterclass

Set a target of 277 runs, the World Test Champions South Africa were bundled out for just 183 runs on the fourth day.

Man of the Match Noman Ali finished with outstanding figures of 4-79 in the second innings and 10-191 in the match, marking his third career 10-wicket haul in Tests.

The 39-year-old spinner made full use of the turning and low-bounce pitch, outfoxing the Proteas despite a stubborn 73-run stand between Dewald Brevis and Ryan Rickelton.

🌀 Spinners Dominate the Match

The Lahore pitch proved to be a spinner’s paradise as 34 of the 40 wickets in the match were taken by spin bowlers.

South Africa’s own left-arm spinner Senuran Muthusamy claimed 11-174, but Noman Ali’s brilliance overshadowed his performance.

💥 Shaheen Afridi and Sajid Khan Seal the Win

After lunch on day four, with South Africa struggling at 137-6, Pakistan’s win looked inevitable.

Shaheen Shah Afridi cleaned up the tail with figures of 4-33, removing Kyle Verreynne (19), Prenelan Subrayen (8), and Kagiso Rabada (0).

Sajid Khan also played a key role, dismissing Muthusamy and breaking Rickelton’s gritty 45-run stand.

Earlier, Shaheen had given Pakistan a perfect start by trapping Tony de Zorzi (16) leg before in the first over of the day.

💪 Dewald Brevis Fights Back — But Noman Ends His Resistance

Dewald Brevis tried to counterattack the Pakistani spinners with a fearless career-best 54 runs, hitting six fours and two sixes. However, Noman Ali bowled him with a sharply turning delivery that symbolized Pakistan’s dominance.

Brevis’s wicket was the turning point that sealed South Africa’s fate, ending their hopes of chasing the target.
