Incredible accomplishment: Scaling Nanga Parbat by Pakistan's Naila Kiani and Samina Baig

In a remarkable display of bravery and determination, renowned mountaineers Naila Kiani and Samina Baig achieved an extraordinary feat on Sunday. They became the first Pakistani women to conquer the formidable Nanga Parbat, standing tall as the ninth-highest peak on Earth.

Nanga Parbat, often referred to as the 'Killer Mountain' due to its high fatality rate, presents a daunting ascent filled with perilous challenges, including unstable glaciers, avalanches, and treacherous storms. Despite these risks, Kiani and Baig fearlessly embraced the formidable task of scaling this majestic 8,126-meter summit.

The Secretary of the Alpine Club of Pakistan, Karrar Haidri, confirmed the success of their ascent. In a Facebook post timestamped at 10:18 am on July 2, 2023, Haidri declared Naila Kiani's triumphant achievement.

"This morning, at 10:18 am, Naila Kiani reached the awe-inspiring height of 8,126 meters, conquering the mighty Nanga Parbat," wrote Haidri. He praised their relentless determination, remarkable talent, and exceptional teamwork in overcoming the hazardous terrain, severe weather, and numerous challenges they faced during their perilous expedition. Their extraordinary accomplishment serves as a powerful source of motivation for aspirant climbers as well as proof of the unflappable spirit of human endeavour.

Moreover, Haidri provided the details of the other summiters who accompanied Samina Baig on the "Karakorum Expeditions Pakistan-international joint expedition 2023":

Naila Kiani's journey to this momentous achievement has been nothing short of extraordinary. A Dubai-based Pakistani banker, an amateur boxer, and a devoted mother of two daughters, she first garnered attention in 2018 when images of her wedding shoot at K2 Basecamp went viral on social media. Since then, she has scaled Gasherbrum-II (8,035m) in 2021 and reached the summits of Gasherbrum-I (8,068m), K2, and Annapurna peaks. In a testament to her unwavering passion and dedication, she also conquered the world's second-tallest peak, Everest. Today, her name stands proudly among the most accomplished mountaineers in the world.

Samina Baig, a trailblazer in her own right, made history in 2014 as the first Pakistani ago25 minutes have passed. Please re-run the plugin with Pharical Magic and the settings.
